The 8th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award, chaired by Monique Villa, CEO of Thomson Reuters Foundation and Founder of Trust Women, is dedicated to modern slavery and the trafficking of women.
Laureate Lizzie Sadin worked on the trafficking of women and girls in Nepal, from prostitution to slavery. Her photo essay resulted in the exhibition ‘The Trap: Trafficking in Women in Nepal’, shown at the Saatchi Gallery from 15 May 15 to June 15, 2018.
With 249,990 visitors, this exhibition was the 7th most visited photo exhibition in 2018.
