Iran: Blank Pages of an Iranian Photo Album

Chapelle des Petits Augustins - Beaux-Arts de Paris, Paris

13 May — 07 Jun 2015

The report of Newsha Tavakolian focuses on the sense of claustrophobia affecting the country's younger generation. Using the theme of the family photo album as a common thread, her photographs depict these middle-class young people caught up in the contradictions between an increasingly modern society and a revolutionary Islamic ideology.

This report, produced as part of the 5th edition of the Award, was exhibited from May 13 to June 07 2015 in the Chapelle des Petits Augustins, at the Beaux-Arts de Paris and curated by Anahita Ghabaian.
